USG Corporation Architectural Sales Representative - Ceilings Plus (California) in California

POSITION SUMMARY

The Architectural Sales Representative Ceilings Plus applies extensive product, technical, and application expertise to promote USG Ceilings Plus specialty ceilings products. The incumbent establishes strong relationships with the Architectural and Design communities and obtains specifications for USG Ceilings Plus products. In addition, the incumbent collaborates effectively with Ceilings Plus management, Ceilings Plus field project management and other “buy side” players to close major projects that they have specified.

The Architectural Sales Representative (ASR) for Ceilings Plus focuses on getting the A&D specification and staying involved with specifications to track the project through bid and sale of the specification. The ASR understands the full construction cycle and connects specifications to successful installations.

This position will be based in California and will service the Los Angeles and greater LA metro market.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· MaximizesUSG's shortand long termgrowthinsalesvolume,grossprofitandindustryposition,withaparticularfocus on Ceilings Plus products and systems

· Proactivelydevelopsrelationshipswitharchitects,interiordesigners,specwriters,owners,constructionmanagersand generalcontractorstoincreasepreferenceanddemandforUSGproductsandsystems

· Networkswithintheindustry by participating in appropriate associations to build credibility and USG’s brand

· Activelytracksprojectsintheearlydesignstagestoinfluencethespecification.Maintainsandregularlyupdatesin Salesforce.comaminimumnumberofprojectswhereUSGis/couldbespecifiedandsharestheinformationwiththefield salesteam

· Follows projects through to close and ensures ongoing collaboration with the Field Project Managers

· CommunicatesandcollaborateswithintheArchitecturalSalesteam,CeilingsDivisionManagementteam,andother USGdepartmentsanddivisions.Supportslocalfieldsalesteamanddistributionpartners.Teamplayisessentialwiththis entrepreneurialindividualcontributorrole

· Launchesandpromotestargetproductsandprograms.MonitorscompetitiveactivityandstrategicallypromotesUSG's Ceilings Plus offering.Workswellinafast-pacedenvironment

· Educates the customer by providing lunch and learns, pertinent literature and samples

Education and Related Experience

* Bachelor'sDegreeinArchitecture,Design,Marketing,Businessorrelatedfield.Advancededucationbeyond aBachelor’sDegreeisaplus * TwoyearminimumofArchitecturalSalesexperienceorProjectManagementexperienceinanArchitecturalorDesignFirm.Technicalexpertise/aptituderequired.Ifnotalreadyattained,willneedtobecomeAIACertifiedtodeliverCEUpresentations.LEEDAccreditationpreferred
