USG Corporation Channel Marketing Manager, Architectural in Chicago, Illinois

POSITION SUMMARY

The Channel Marketing Manager, Architectural will lead the USG marketing efforts in support of the Architectural Sales channel.

This candidate will help make our architectural sales teams more effective and strengthen USG’s relationships with key architectural firms in the US and Canada.

Responsible for creation and execution of marketing programs that include industry event marketing, training programs, presentation collateral, and trade shows for the architectural community.

Position will be responsible for supporting new product launches, promoting existing products and identifying opportunities to create increased brand awareness to architect and interior designer audiences.

Candidate must be detail oriented and organized and be comfortable operating in a cross-functional manner with product marketing, sales, research, legal, quality, and senior management. Must work with agency partners to maintain verbal and visual consistency across programs, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Effectively communicate with all levels within USG organization • Interact with channel customers to achieve program goals • Communicate programs, strategies, and tactics with USG marketing and sales organization • Drive marketing communication strategies and develop innovative program solutions and tactics to drive results in support of sales & marketing objectives • Align with architectural sales leadership and field architectural sales teams to understand business goals

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related discipline • Master’s Degree preferred • Minimum of five (5) years marketing, building materials industry sales or related experience

Required Skills

• Demonstrated leadership, creativity, and expertise in architectural sales • Capable of building strong relationships with both internal teams and external customers • Proven or related experience in developing and executing marketing communication strategies in support of business goals • Strategic thinker with strong communication, presentation, project management and organizational skills • Understanding of USG products, distribution, and project specification process
