Lead and execute indirect procurement strategies for company services and materials in HR, Facilities Management, IT and Manufacturing with the goal of achieving cost reduction, while maintaining or improving supplier service levels.
Ensure RFI's and RFP's are prepared accurately and reflect market and performance requirements.
Lead sophisticated contract negotiations with suppliers to meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives. Work with Legal department to optimize terms and conditions on large contracts.
Work closely with key stakeholders in the departments of HR, IT, Facilities Management and Manufacturing.
Identify leading practices across procure to payment, benchmark USG against those practices and implement process improvements.
Utilize business analytic tools, develop, manage and report supplier performance, and key performance indicators for assigned categories and/or agreements.

This job is based in Chicago HQ.
BA or BS degree, with 5 - 7 years experience, in Supply Chain, Project Management or related field, Master's degree preferred.
Demonstrated experience leading Sourcing projects, including authoring, issuing, and completing Requests For Proposals (RFP's). Includes demonstrated experience as the leader of multiple cross-functional teams; executing
recommendations and monitoring and providing ongoing oversight of team outcomes.
Demonstrated superior analytical, organizational and fact based decision making skills. Experience in complex supplier negotiations; including contract terms and conditions negotiation and contract finalization.
Experience utilizing Business Intelligence (BI) tools and software, to develop and manage supplier scorecards, analytics, and key performance indicators.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly motivated and results orientated. Ability to travel as necessary.
