USG Corporation Maintenance Mechanic - Plaster City in El Centro, California

The ideal candidates should demonstrate initiative and the ability to work in a fast pace environment. Three years experience working with diesel engines, heavy equipment maintenance. ASE prefered, proficient welder, familiar with basic electrical controls, pneumatic, hyrdraulic systems and work in a safe, thorough and efficient manner.

Duties: To be a candidate you must be willing to work rotating shifts and weekends as needed in a maintenance shop. In order to qualify for this position, candidates must pass a skills test as well as a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check. The primary responsibilities of this position will be working on diesel/gas/propane/electric powered equipment. Maintenance of frontend loaders, fork trucks, sweepers, haul trucks and miscellaneous equipment. Knowledgeable in the operation of all plant mobile equipment and be proficient in the following areas: working safely, able to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, understand operating functions, and be able to work in a team environment.
