Engineering Technical Admin - Part time / Temporary

United States Gypsum has an immediate opening for a Technical Admin in its Joint Compound facility in Glendale, AZ. This is an hourly position that will be from January 2019– May 2019. We will train a motivated individual who is looking to further their experience and knowledge in the Technical/Engineering field. This position provides an opportunity for a engineering student to apply their classroom learned skills, boost their resume, and work on projects.

The starting rate of pay is $17.50/hour. We provide flexible hours and we will do our best to work around the candidate’s schedule. The candidate must work at least 15 hours but no more than 25 hours a week M-F.

Follows all plant safety rules and practices. Prepares and follows to completion all assigned Authorities and Job Sheet requests.

Assists the Technical/Supply Chain Manager in Environmental requests. Assists the Technical/Supply Chain Manager on the routine maintenance assignments and follow-ups required for daily operations. Handles administrative functions as related to position.

Experience and Education Required:

Currently obtaining a degree in the Technical/Engineering field with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.

Skills Required: • Self-starter, excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively • Willingness to learn • Ability to work within a diverse workforce environment • Proficient in Microsoft Office products • Good verbal and written communication skills • Strong problem-solving abilities • Resourceful and team-oriented
