USG Corporation National Accounts Manager, Performance Materials (East) in North Carolina

POSITION SUMMARY:

The National Account Manager is responsible for the development and management of assigned National Accounts in the respective geographic region. Managers are r esponsible for increasing sales and profit by developing key relationships with account decision-makers.

While this position has location flexibility, due to territory and travel requirements, candidates must live near a major airport within their respective division.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following and performs additional responsibilities as assigned

  • Develops and executes key account business plans
  • Owns account management relationship
  • Cultivates and pursues new business opportunities within the assigned territory
  • Builds and maintains customer relationships with all assigned accounts
  • Manages day-to-day account responsibilities
  • Effectively communicates with the appropriate USG Business Units and Shared Sales teams
  • Serves as a trusted and influential business advisor to the customer

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent field experience

Travel Requirements

  • Travel time up to and over 50% servicing respective market and within the assigned region

Experience

  • Experience with territory management and job tracking preferred
  • Previous experience in Sales or Marketing is required. 2-3 years’ experience in Product Management or 5-7 years outside sales experience a plus
  • Previous experience in the tile industry preferred

  • Salesforce.com power user preferred
  • Strong business acumen and professionalism
  • Strong communication/interpersonal skills, including: negotiating, presentation, professional selling, conflict resolution and relationship building
  • Self-motivated; focused on working to and exceeding targets

  • Ability to set and self-manage priorities to ensure maximizing of account development maximization for existing and new accounts

  • Known contributor and influencer within respective field/industry
